Was out of Chico at 4:00 this morning and as we headed SE the lightning offshore was something of amazement. We wondered if we should push on and glad we did. We get to the spot before daylight. Were throwing gulps under cork in about 3' of water. We managed to find a few redfish right at daylight, weren't able to keep a hookset on 2 of 'em . We werent doing much in one spot so we moved and were able to find some small specks on a small grass flat surrouned by some decent ledges down to 10'. I did manage to score a cajun thunder swimming around with the leader and catfish attached. He tried to outswim me for a bit but he wore-out before the 24volts did. All in all good morning, caught a few decent fish, all released. Back at the house for some pre-fathersday rest!
