Fish the 3 mile Friday morning with my nephew, Robby and his 4 year old son, Gage. GAGE TOLD ME HE WANTS TO CATCH A SHARK! Got anchored, caught a couple of ladyfish which we immediately chummed. Put down a bottom rig, a king rig with 25lb test off the back with a frozen cigar minnow, within minutes BAM! Fish ON! or should we say Shark ON! I took the rod and reel out of the holder, set the drag and handed it to Gage. It was on! Shark would pull Gage would Pull, Back and forth they went. Thought the shark was gonna win but Gage was determined and Bowed up, brought the shark boat side. Later that day he told me -- I'm not scared of No Shark!! We fished Dixie bar that afternoon with no luck and the lights at night at cotton bayou and Ole River caught some keeper red fish but no specs. Thinking about making sleeping quarters on the front deck for those young, tired shark fisherman. LOL Had a great time love to see the young ones fish and get excited about fishing. Gage and his dad have a open invitation fishing with me. Tony in Opelika, Al.
