Live croakers or elwys, fish the docks around Ono Island. Carolina rigged or under a popping cork. Also a jig head and a gulp has always produced a few fish. Good luck!

i havent fished the lights in a long time. i do remember not getting a bite for hours then limiting out within 30 minutes. water movement, saltier the better. 3" new penny shrimp if you dont have live bait.

what about live shrimp? like i said, i have no clue what i am doing. will a spec eat a croaker? i figure that the croaker would be too big for a spec

This time of year the pinfish are thick, you can catch trout with shrimp but you will go thru alot of shrimp due to pinners. A 3 to 5 inch croaker is gator candy. Go find some drop offs around Ono and throw you cast net. Good luck

I'm staying in a rental home on Ono Island the next 2 weeks and plan to fish the lights.  What do you all recommend in line and leaders?  What types of hooks do you prefer with shrimp, and also pins, croakers, etc?

Thanks for the help.
