While I loved my BB gun and my bike, my fav has to be Hot Wheels.

My friend that lived a couple houses down from me had a patch of clay dirt on the side of his yard. We would use garden tools and build Hot Wheel City. We would use a garden hoe and carve out roads and build little dirt houses and dig holes and fill them with water for lakes. The area was probably 15'x10'. We would spend a couple of days building Hot Wheel City and then it would rain so we would smooth it over and start again. We both had 2 big buckets of cars. Man that was fun.

My skateboard, I was around for the first ones and grew up as they did.

My first surfboard , Morey Dole big orange sigle fin , my brother gave it to me, used to hang on to him and his buddies leases and they would pull me out to the line-up because I was to young and small to paddle through or duck dive.

One of my earliest favorites was something called the "Strange Change Machine".  Anybody remember those?  There were these plastic like squares that, when you put them in the strange change machine (which was basically a low output oven), would magically uncurl and fold out to form little plastic dinosaurs that you placed on the accompanying dino-rama of a prehistoric jungle.  Then, when you were done, you would put the little critters into an appratus that had a screw and handle (like a vise or one of those pecan shellers) and they would be forcibly turned back into squares.  Let's see...heat + pressure + 8 year old...I can't imagine WHY these were later banned by the government!!!!

Other favorites were the original G.I. Joe, Hot Wheels (with those orange tracks), and my mini bike from Montgomery Wards.

Man there were so many; Legos, micro machines, Ninja turtles, transformers and etc.

Its unfair to ask me to choose!

There you go.....mine were ninja turtles and transformers when it was raining.  If it wasn't raining I was in the woods playing capture the flag, building forts, playing basketball, football, or taking my bike off of some sweet jumps

SST racers, with the zip tie gear that you had to feed in then pull.

Hot wheels track racing with loopdy-loops

Stretch armstrong

Giant styrafoam glider

David karadin of Kung Fu inflatble punching bag

I remember SST's.  One time I stuck one in my sisters hair after pulling the zip cord.  She had hair down to her waist. Damn thing grabbed hold and seized right up to her head while I was pulling on it to get it back.   That's one whooping that I'll never forget.
