I had the pleasure of fishing on my friend Sam's boat yesterday and we ventured out looking for grouper.  The bite started off a little slow but turned on hot in the middle of the day.  We boated a gag and a red grouper on the first couple of spots and hooked about 4 good fish that we decided to let go to catch next time.  We tried to mingo fish some and caught one football but the red snapper were just too thick.  After weeding through several 6-10 lb snappers, we went out a little deeper and began to catch snowys and scamps.  At the end of the day, we had our 7 man grouper limit made up of:  1 gag, 1 red, 5 snowys and 28 scamp.  The snowys were on the small side and the red and gag were average but the scamp were an excellent grade.  Here are a few pics:

Here is Quint with a fish other than a mackerel!

Wow Jake great mess of fish not to mention how good they are on the grill.  Scamp are my favorite.  You have really been tearing the grouper up this year.  How is the new baby girl doing?

A little bit of everything: live cigs, pinfish, pigfish and northern mackerel.
