I am planing on exploring the White point area, just east of the Garcon bridge. I would love to catch a few red fish on light tackle. Am i wasting my time? If not, any ideas on what to toss at the fish? and what tides and what time?

Not a waste of time at all. I like a high tide going out. As far as what to toss at'em, Go see Billy at Angler's Outlet and he'll help ya out.

| There havn't been many redfish over there lately but lots of bait, specks, and jack crevalle in the early morning hours. The redfish can move in and out of there at anytime though.

| I fished all morning over there about a week ago with live LYs. High tide, outgoing, lots of bait...but no reds, specs, or flounder. Caught 2 catfish. Maybe the water is too hot?
