Just saw this on a different forum...

"...And, according to a rep from Berkley, once you open the bags, you must freeze them to preserve them. Otherwise the smell gets bad and they become nothing buy catfish bait."

Anybody do this?  If so... any noticed improvement vs. not freezing them?  I can't really tell a difference in the smell... poop smells like poop to me.  But hey, maybe the fish have a preference in the flavor.

Maybe just resealing the bag or using a ziplock would be easier.

i've never had a problem.

if you leave the bag unsealed or keep the bait out of the bag it'll dry up but i don see any need to freeze them.

I've found that the original bag doesn't always re-seal correctly once you open it and you get a nice surprise in your tackle box the next time you go fishin. Putting the gulps into a ziplock works pretty good.

As far as freezing....who knows. Seems like more of a hassle to me.

Yeah, I found out the hard way about the Gulp bags too.  ha.  Yummy stuff.  I keep an assortment in a big ziploc bag now.  I was going to do a little experiment to see if one worked better than the other, but after going out a couple times with the old stuff I don't think it's necessary to freeze them.  The fish still love'em.  Thanks for the responses!
