| A tropical low is supposed to get pulled out of the western carribean by the approaching front. Its not supposed to be tropical by the time it approaches Appalacicola, but the seas are going to jump up and maybe have offshore winds Friday afternoon.... well see

| Craig, You should work for the NWS... I drove to the beach this morning and it was glassy, except for perfect sets of long 5' tubes rolling in with a perfect little blow off from the offshore breeze. Glassy for a few miles offshore, but beyond the fetch it looked BIG!!! I wish I still had a board this morning in a BIG way! Jim

Xiphius (10/21/2008) A tropical low is supposed to get pulled out of the western carribean by the approaching front. Its not supposed to be tropical by the time it approaches Appalacicola, but the seas are going to jump up and maybe have offshore winds Friday afternoon.... well seeI don't know where you got the approches Appalacicola but it isn't going to get any where near the Gulf. The cold front comming through us today will take it into the Atlantic. We might get a very small swell from it at most..

| Ron, Look at the date of Xiphius post...At that time we did have a tropical low in the gulf. His post isn't referring to the current low. KJ
