Headed out to the bay this afternoon and started in basin hoping to sight fish some reds. Caught one rat before the wind shut us down. Cruised through some creeks and found lots of rats but no takers. My buddy was hung up in the grass and some how ended in the drink...0 fish in the boat and 1 fisherman in the water. Decided to to head back to the hill since the basin was getting more of us than we were of it. Saw a sheltered bank on the way back in and tied on some topwater. Walked the dog a bit and boated these beauties. Its nice to finally catch some fish like the rest of you guys do on here!

Nice fish, PJ!! Today was very tough with very difficult conditions all-around. If possible, try when the water is very, very low and consistent weather, I think you'll like what you find. Great job, again.

Thanks for the report; the slots are there but those rats sweep in, in front of them and scoop the the bait up. Have to stick with it for 1 or 2 fish!

Maybe your buddy has started a new top water technique; we could call it "Wash the Dog"!

KEEP AN OCCASSIONAL RED HERE AND THERE FOR DINNER, BUT FOR
THE REST, PRACTICE HEALTHY CATCH & RELEASE TECHNIQUES
SAVE SOME FOR THE FUTURE!
