| With the winds shifting to the NW and gusty, fishing the beach may be your best bet. Pompano, blues, reds, and an occasional flounder over 5 pounds will be the usual targets in November. Don't overlook the north side on the bay, as it will be protected from the winds. Baitfish, in certain spots, are still available. The temperature is going to drop into the low 30s this weekend, and should spark another flounder run. Sharpen your hooks and gigs, as the floounder season tapers off. The grub/gig challenge seems to be the event of the fall in Northwest Florida. Several very nice fish have been posted recently with more to follow. This will wrap up the weekend report. The only way to know is to get out and go!!!
