nice little cold snap here which looked promising here in central alabama but full moon kinda throws off the deer around our place. only thing moving today was 2 does, small 4, and a young, lean 8 that will be great in a couple of seasons. rack was even with the ears, p2s looked to be maybe 8 inches and p3s maybe 6. oh well...nice seeing game regardless. all deer were seen in the headlights of the tractor.

what are p2s and p3s? do you mean G2 and G3s? Just want to make sure I'm not falling behind on terminology.

| My brother-in-law and I both hunted Sun. morning and saw NOTHING as well. Between the two of us, we both saw several on the side of the road driving to the camp well before daylight. That told me they moved early...before daylight. I did have a deer walking straight to me 5 minutes after I got up in my climber...Just enough light to shoot, but still half dark. I was hunting a dried up swamp area and I could hear every step it made...It was walking very cautiously and headed straight toward my scent line (downwind). As soon as the deer got directly downwind...Gone, blowin' and goin'. Thats was the last deer I heard or saw that morning, again before daylight. So, I'm with ya, something had 'em bedded up Sun morning...moon I guess. But, it wasn't a full moon??? The moon was bright, but not full. I guess other phases than full moon throw them off as well???
