| Hey yal, I am new to the forum, but not to hunting. I am looking for someone who has some experience in the area. I live in Navarre and am Active Duty at Hurlburt. I am an avid hunter, but have been out of the game for 2 years do to training/deployments. I have everything you would need to hunt with one exception...the place or the knowledge of public land. I am origanlly from Texas where public land doesn't really exist and everyone leases property. But every lease I have found or went to has either fallen through or been way overpriced. I am just looking to put some meat in the freezer this year, and possibly start scouting for a place/club for next year. I am pretty much a bowhunter, but have no objections to slaying something with my .270 WSM. I realize this is kinda late to do this but I just returned from Afghanistan. If any one has any info I would be much obliged. and would really appreciate the help/opportunity. Looking for hogs, deer or ducks. Thanks Luke

You can start by going to Jackson gaurd and getting your Eglin permit and a map of Eglin. Eglin is full of deer and there are a bunch of places that are Bow Hunting Only. Good luck, pm me and ill give u my number I work weekends only and hunt Eglin 3-4 x a week, your more than welcome to join us.

| I would most defiantly get to Jackson Guard and get your permit. Blackwater is a little farther north from you, but so full of people i don't think i would waste my time. Always hunted Blackwater some, but this year we went to Eglin becouse of the overcrouding in the areas we hunted in Blackwater. Have not had alot of time to spend in the woods yet, however what we have found i really like. Best of luck to you.
