Howdy everyone!
Just moved to the area! Originally from Newfoundland, Canada so born with a fishing rod in my hand. (Made for a rough delivery but we are fine now!)
Trout are a big favorite but I will fish for anything that you can fillet and pan fry!
Fly fishing is fine but open to bait fishing of any kind, basically any fishing of any kind for that matter!
I do not know the area well but have plenty of maps to get around by car. I assume I can probably buy a river map at any sporting goods store.
Can anyone give me the "Forrest Gump's" mother run down on a few hot spots?
Where they are, what you need to fish with, what are you fishing for etc that is around the Pensacola area?
The next question is are there any other little day trip spots even a little further out where you could drive for an hour or two and find a great river, pond or lake etc to go haul a few out of the water?
Look forward to hearing from folks!
Cheers!

| 1. Pensacola beach pier 2. Bob Sykes bridge 3. Bases of 3 mile bridge These are just the most common in the area (saltwater fishing anyway) and of course you have all the shoreline you'll ever want.

Welcome Newfie. Aww it won't take you to long to catch a few fish im sure. Just listen up and im sure you will pick up on some spots. Don't forget the fishing license. Gets expensive if they catch ya with out them. Good luck on ya fishing adventures. We always like to see pictures along with reports.

| Welcome and good luck. Try the aforementined bridges. Palafox pier is another area as is a good runout or hole fishing from the beach. There was a post on here recently about making pompano rigs too - you can fish for those on the beach or near the pass.
