We want: Legal-size Grouper, AJs, & some Triggers would be nice too.

I was looking at our map and numbers & of course the weather and I'm wondering if we should try the 18s for the above mentioned fish..? Any better suggestions? We have enough gas in the boat to get maybe 20 miles out at most. I'll keep checking in on the site to see if someone posts any reports from today.

unless you have a big boat I would suggest joe patti's the weatherman missed it again, today(sat) it was solid 3-5 and it was building as the day wore on...they are calling 5-7 for Mon and Tues  good luck though if you do get out avoid the russian freiter fished it today with very poor results

We have a 26footer so 3-5 is do-able...but...do I really want to go out there bouncing around all day and possibly not catch anything... :S ... Thanks for the heads up - Russian Freighter is off my list.

Go to Paradise Hole and load up on triggers. Drop sabiki rigs with #2 hooks tipped with squid. Put down a BIG dead bait on the bottom for a grouper (we use either frozen white trout from the 3 mile bridge or pogies from Walmart. Works for us this time of the year.

I saw a bag of Killer Bee pogies in wal-mart tonight - I wondered if they were good for anything. Thanks for the info! The pics are great too!!
