| Fished out of the Tarpon Springs area Super Bowl sunday. Got a late start due to sea fog, so we stayed close in about 55ft of water. Fished on Lime Rock outcroppings covered with grass. The water was so clear that we could make out the grass on the bottom. 1st spot was a goose egg, but at the 2nd spot they lit up right away. 1st came the 14" to 18" fish and then whack, and Tim was grunting and groaning while he landed a 30" Gag! Then up came about a dozen between 21" and 21.5" of course. Then another keeper or 2, then another slug of 1/2" short fish! In the end it was a short day, be we landed 8 keepers a couple mid 24/25" area and the one 30", with the rest just making the cut @ 22". BUT, while we lost count there is no doubt that we caguht over 100 fish, mostly Gags and about 8 to 10 small red grouper(only 1 keeper red) Then it was off to the races to make it back and clean up before Kick Off! We fished my buddy Pete's Pursuit 289 with twin 225 yamahas; great riding boat and fished incredibly stable with 5 of us moving around, great boat! Oh yea, we stuffed some of that grouper with an oyster rockefeller mixture from fresh shcked Appalachicola oysters I brought from Joe Pattis, YUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMM!! Sorry camera pics , I've got to learn to remeber my digital camera

KEEP AN OCCASSIONAL RED HERE AND THERE FOR DINNER, BUT FOR THE REST, PRACTICE HEALTHY CATCH & RELEASE TECHNIQUES SAVE SOME FOR THE FUTURE!
