Sunday is not looking bad so far.  Since Red Snapper and Grouper are closed, would trolling for Dolphin or Wahoo be any good this time of year between shore and the edge?

With the water temp as low as it is, it would be nothing but a boat ride.  Look for some AJ's offshore and catch some mingos along the edge.  Just my .02

you must not be looking at worthwhile info. we were 70 miles offshore last weekend and the water temp was 73. plenty of wahoo to be found...

I was planning on fishing down in the area this weekend. Grouper and Snaper are closed? What is open to fish for within around 35 miles from shore???

That's not exactly between the shore and the edge though...which is what Rusty's original question was in regards to.

went to the pablo last sunday, had a field day with short ajs they hit any jig or live bait we threw. its around 18 miles from the pensacola pass. everywhere we went closer in was not impressive with the ajs. the russian freiter was awsome with the chum churn for the red snapper. they were big ones too. fun to catch on light tackle on the top freelining baits in the chum. have to be descret though the hugh ones were very picky. hope this helps
