| I imagine after all the wind this week, it's going to be major muddy close to shore. Therefore, I think I'd be wasting time trying to sight fish for pomps from the pier. What's everyones opinion on surf fishing for pomps in muddy conditions. I know it makes it difficult to see washouts, deep holes, etc, but the two times I've been in muddy conditions, I've never gotten a bite. What do ya'll think?

| I caught a few yesterday and got bit off a few times just blind casting along the beach. I would work the holes good and cast as I walked to the next hole. Couldn't see the fish, but did pretty well, I am going again today after work.

| thanks for the reply. I'm going to have some rods set up for still fishing and walk the beach with a pomp jig. Leave my friend with the stationary poles so we can try both methods. I still have my doubts about the muddy water.
