Thank you very much. I've been fishing with Quantum for about 4 years now and I love the Cabo PT 30's, the Accurists and the Burners. I've found the Cabo PT 30 with a 7'0 ML Fenwick Techna AV rod to be the best set up I've ever fished.

Hey Eric, Love your site. Just visited it from a previous post before seeing this one. Only suggestion would be to link your logo's in your signature from the forum to the site(s) if that's possible. Might get more traffic. But I suspect you will get more work than you want based on all your previous posts.

Thanks. But how do you know when to use it. When you're in real shallow water, when even the slightest noise or movement spooks them? Calm shallow banks, mudflats, windward shore?

Or do you decide based on what the fish are doing, like not tailing, but with others, schooling into the drainage of a tidal canal?

Hey Todd,

Deadsticking is a technique that is used when redfish get very finicky and will not eat a moving bait. This works best in areas that you know there are high concentrations of fish in shallow water such as potholes, troughs and sand banks. A Gulp! 4" Shrimp and 2" Gulp! Crabs are my deadsticking choices. Give it a try, they will eventually find it and eat it. It will save a very difficult day of artificial fishing.

As for releasing fish, I don't like eating fish that much so I release everything, except grouper and scamp, of course. Plus, if I kept everything I caught, what would you guys catch!!:poke
