I saw a bunch of reds in 18" - 30" of water but they wouldn hit anything. Tried Gulp shrimp & jerks and gold spoons they just turned their noses up and swam away.

They are fun to watch & sneak up on but its frustrating when you cant get them to bite.

Bryan[/quote]
Its very tough to get the reds in Santa Rosa sound to bite. Theres alot of Pressure, alot of bait for them, and the water is very clear. I usually throw as small of a soft plastic that I can get away with. I try to go with as light of wieght as possible too.

RE: Santa Rosa Sounds 7/25/08

Brant,

If you dont mind my asking, what are ya'll using for the reds?

I fished all afternoon yesterday on the North side of the sound.
