Wonder how he thought that was just gonna "Stay in Vegas" too! I've been out at the Liberty Ship a few times ans seen jon boats come out right up to where we were, no, they weren't sporting the ladder, but I just don't understand how they can get their hands on such go beer and we can't! I want to see the pics of the Cobias they/he caught! He had to of been fishing during happy hour!

A friend of mine has a 16ft zodiak the he puts a 8ft step ladder on and fishes.A few years ago I was with him(call me stupid)and he caught a 60# er out of that rig and wittnessed him catch an 80 out of it near navarre pier the year before Ivan blew it down.

i saw him around the pier a few weeks ago and someone said that he caught a 90#+ out of that rig. don't know it for fact but just heard them talking.

There was a stiff southeast wind that kicked up,and it got rough

he was riding the ladder, leaning way back and then forward

That's insane and incredibly dangerous.

I was pompano fishing a couple years ago and about a 12' Jon boat went by with two guys in it. One was on a 6' stepladder. I just hope they launched from the beach because they were several miles from the pass.

Yep, it's no joke... Saw that about 2 weeks ago past the second sand bar trolling West to East right in between Pensacola Pass and Alabama Point. Hope he catches something and post it with close up pictures.....

Maybe this has already been posted? I saw this off Pcola beach a few weeks back

Solo,on a 10' ladder, in a skiff and the wind started kickin, and he kept on fishing.....
