wife called, obviously distressed, and said the kids came in and told her the TV turned off. So she goes in the living room and smells a burning odor. Quickly unpluggs everything. TV burnt up.

Well the time has come, My mother in law,,,, that would be Ms Pennys Mom, is in the hospital on her death bed,,, she has been there since monday evening. They have already removed all the monitoring equipment, and just managing the pain,,, her blood pressure at last check was 50 over 25. so its just a matter of a few hours.... thanks for your time,,,, Kenny

This drawing to being done for as part of an art class that is helping a local hot dog restaurant design tee shirts for their shop. Drawing is done by a 12 year old girl. The restaurant name is the THE DOGGERY.

Picture is of a hot dog on a grill relaxing.

Also need a saying for another drawing. This drawing is not for the restaurant.

On Southwest Airlines Flight 1455 from Vegas overshot the runway at Burbank.

The plane crashed through the airport fence, careened across the street and

ended up with a collapsed landing gear, right next to a gas station.

Hi,
I haven't posted in forever since I haven't really fished for several weeks now, but I needed to share this.
My wife just had our [b]first child[/b], a little girl named Camille. It was the most amazing thing I have ever witnessed. The emotions, the new sense of responsibility, the absolute love you experience is unlike anything that can be imagined until you actually go through it.
It is, I believe, one of the only miracles I will ever witness in my life.
Mom and baby are doing great and dad is still in the clouds! :)

For all of you who deal with restaurants and understand the need for the service to be faster, this story is a timeless lesson on how consultants can make a difference to an organization.

Last week, we took some friends out to a new restaurant and noticed that the waiter who took our order carried a spoon in his shirt pocket. It seemed a little strange.

When another waiter brought our water, I noticed he also had a spoon in his shirt pocket.

Then I looked around and saw that all the staff had spoons in their pockets.

When the waiter came back to serve our soup I asked, 'Why the spoon?'

'Well', he explained, 'the restaurant's owners hired Andersen Consulting to revamp all our processes. After several months of analysis, they concluded that the spoon was the most frequently dropped utensil. It ;represents a drop frequency of approximately 3 spoons per table per hour. If our personnel are better prepared, we can reduce the number of trips back to the kitchen and save 15 man-hours per shift.'

As luck would have it, I dropped my spoon and he was able to replace it with his spare, and added, 'I'll get another spoon next time I go to the kitchen, instead of making an extra trip to get it right now.'

I was impressed. I also noticed that there was a string hanging out of the waiter's fly.

Looking around, I noticed that all the waiters had the same string hanging from their flies. So before he walked off, I asked the waiter, 'Excuse me, but can you tell me why you have that string right there?'

'Oh, certainly!' Then he lowered his voice. 'Not everyone is so observant. That consulting firm I mentioned also found out that we can save time in the restroom. By tying this string to the tip of you kno w what, we can pull it out without touching it and eliminate the need to wash our hands, shortening the time spent in the restroom by 76.39 percent.

I asked 'After you get it out, how do you put it back?'

'Well,' he whispered, 'I don't know about the others, but I use the spoon.'

Called big German, aka emeraldcozy, and he got me started. I located the silonoid (sp?) but it is not like a normal one. If someone can call me and help I will drive to the meeting in Milton.

Should be a simple fix but I'm just to darn dumb to trouble shoot. I'm guessing less then an hour fix.

Symptoms are drove the truck to the house. Went to get gas and motor will not turn over. Battery is 100% charged. My guess is Silinoid or starter.

Everything else works. WIndows, lights, radio, locks etc....

When I turn the key switch it just goes CLICK. Markus told me about bypassing the silinoid but it doesn't have prongs so I don't have a clue on how to do it. It has clip harness, best way I can describe it, on the silinoid.

DAMN, forgot my # is 457-8783.

The ULTIMATE catch..bar none.

Drowning Man Reeled In by Fisherman ....Friday, July 18, 2008

HALLOWELL, Maine — A man who was drowning in a Maine river is recovering after getting reeled in with a fishing rod.

Bob Greene of Hallowell said he heard what he thought was a bird early Thursday as he was having his morning coffee. He then realized there was a man bobbing in the Kennebec River.

Greene said a 911 dispatcher told him to throw something to the man. He snagged the man's shirt with a fishing lure and reeled him in.

The rescued man is in critical condition at a Portland hospital.

Hallowell Police Chief Eric Nason said Greene did the right thing by calling police first and not jumping into the water.

This is not what I thought 'service' meant. But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to 'service' a few cows. BAM!!! It all came into perspective. I now understand what all those 'service' agencies are doing to us.

I have a deaf American Bulldog with CKC papers for a good home. I paid $600.00 for him. His birthday is May 1, 2008. He's too much for me right now. For years, the LGT Bank in the tiny European principality of Liechtenstein, tucked between Austria and Switzerland, has been regarded as a safe haven for wealthy Americans trying to hide their money from the IRS. It helps that the reigning prince there, Hans-Adams II, and his family own the bank and strictly enforce the country's bank secrecy laws.

"Liechtenstein is regarded as one of the most secretive places in the world," said John Christensen of the London-based Tax Justice Network.

But all that changed when a disgruntled computer technician at LGT, Heinrich Kieber, downloaded all the names and secret accounts on to two CDs and turned them over to tax authorities in the US and Europe.

"It completely exposed the fact that Liechtenstein is nothing but a place to hide your money from tax collectors, and any other police who might be interested," said Kieber's Washington-based attorney Jack Blum. Kieber is now wanted in Liechtenstein for violating bank secrecy laws there, but his attorney says it is the tax cheats that are the real criminals.

"They are the people who are taking advantage of the rest of us, who are withholding and paying," said Blum. "They're the crooks."

Our Social Security

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social
Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be
completely voluntary.

2.) That the participants would only have to pay
1% of the first $1,400 of their annual
incomes into the Program,

3.) That the money the participants elected to put
into the Program would be deductible from
their income for tax purposes each year,

4.) That the money the participants put into the
Independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the
General Operating Fund, and therefore, would
only be used to fund the Social Security
Retirement Program, and no other
government program, and,

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees

Auto air conditioning question

I have a Mercury van and the air conditioner is the Nippondenso rotary type with the lines connected to the backside.

Of course it decided to quit last week. And the repair shop says it will take $900+ to fix it. They claim it needs a new compressor, dryer, etc. due to a vacuum leak at the back of the compressor, 1"wc per 20 minutes.

My question is if there is a leak there, would it not be evident via an oily residue on the hose connections at the compressor?

There is oily residue on the hose just under the hood (which is well above the compressor) and the fender well. But the compressor itself is totally bone dry all over.

I am thinkin the repair shop is takin me for a ride. But maybe not.

Does anyone know if there can be a vacuum or pressure leak at the compressor without oily evidence?
