see all the meth and crack dealers strung up by there sacks and fed to the sharks. see all terrorists burned alive. bring back public hangings. kids have to stand for the pledge and morning prayer in school. all this political correctness flushed down the toilet. see any sideways hat wearing pants sagging down to there buttholes kids whiped by there daddys. men should work atleast 40 hours a week. women who dont work should have a warm meal waiting when he gets home. i could go on this country is crap i praise our soldiers

lmao... i would want to cheat death! to know when the exact time and date i was going to die, and the day before go skydiving w/o a chute and land in my middle school bullies yard. not only would i have the pride i knowing i cheated death... but i would get revenge on the bastard that messed with me! just an idea

I would like to get a Blue Marlin boat side. Had 12 in the spread and 4 on the hook, and I would like to do it with my best fishing buddy who just came down ill. We are going to give it one more try this comming Monday before he does all of his treatment stuff.

I'd love to catch a tarpon and cobia from my yak... and my grandson being out there also... fishing.

Go yak fishing all over... especially to Belize...

To be able to travel and fish without worrying about pinching pennies.....

To be able to do more community work with kids... Seeing those kid's faces... seeing you dressed as a pirate. It's awesome!! :clap

This is a really Great Thread. Thanks 50-50 II.

My greatest inspiration is doing something for someone else. I don't know of anything that I have ever done, that would give the satifaction equal to helping another person. I don't have everything I want and hope that I never do, but given the chance I hope that I always will give before I take.

I don't post this to derail the thread, because it is a great read and an Awesome thread. But, my answer is a true answer.

Sailfish on fly is way cool. Mine was only 50#ish, but, man what a hot fish. Jose Jehejbe hooked a 400+ Blue on Fly out of Tropic Star years ago. I understand he stayed hooked up for more than 7 hours and the shock wore through. I would like the chance, but liked it equally to have been there to witness that.

I'd like to...

Drive a Ferrari- not own, just drive for a while...like months, not hours. Of course I should mention taking my girlfriend on a Harley too. For a while, like the Ferrari.

Be able to spend some money- not just save all the time and worry about retirement and crap like that. I'd like to spend my whole emergency fund and 401 K and just throw down. I wish my birth certificate had an expiration date so I'd know when I was gonna go, then I wouldn't have to save $ just in case! I'd hire some famous band to play a free concert then have an open bar and great food.

I'd like to buy a boat that I could live on if I wanted- not that it would be like living in my house but maybe a 50 ft. Hatteras with twins and a gennie with lots of lights. Then when I got tired of fishing I could just go below and shower and crash, then wake up on the same spot the next day! I'd keep it in the ICW then cobia fish or bluewater fish as the mood struck me.

I'd like to be able to help all my friends...with whatever. Basically financial stuff but not just passing out $. They would have to use it for purposes that would teach them how to handle it. I have enough now to know the difference.

I'd love to sky dive if I knew I would live through it!

I'd also like to live on the water. Primo dock with a ridiculous amount of trout lights, boats moored up, etc. Sandy beach- not Gulf though- ICW for the calm water and fish. 2 story dock. Jet skis. Slide. Submerged lights too. Kids there with no worries of college, cars, etc...

Just me!

i have though alot about this since i saw the movie.

1 ........beat this health problem

2...........biggest circle of friends(have so many already thanks to this forum)

2........big blue 1000lbs plus

3........huge buck with a bow

4.......teach all my grandkids, nephews and neices about the outdoors

5.......when i die give any good parts left to who ever can use them and sprinkle the rest over the oceans and woods and hope i left a mark on this great country we live in.

tub club is an "elite" group of anglers who have landed a 100+ pound cobia.

"tubber" is a term commonly used to classify a fish over 100 pounds. I have heard people refer to 100+lb tuna as tubbers, or big ajs over 100 called tubbers. but i do believe the refference here is to the rare 100lb migratory cobia.

3. Kill an elk (with a bow).

4. Land a 90#+ cobia, AJ, TUNA.

1 is very likely to happen, 2 within the next 18 months (then it'll become a common occurance), 3 always looking for the chance, and 4 well I have about 4-5 months left here so we'll see.

My list would probably be pretty substantial, but on the fishing side of things, I have a few things that I really want to do.

1. Blue Marlin on spinning tackle (99"+)

2. Cobia (migrating, not resident) on fly

3. Sailfish from my kayak

4. 10 lb+ largemouth bass

I think location is going to be the key for numbers 3 and 4. If I get that right, the fight shouldn't be as difficult as the other goals. Number 1 and 2 will probably take more skill to accomplish those, but I know it can be done.

Thanks for this thread, it's cool to see some poeple's goals.
