Exploratory Trip!!!

Looking for a few folks to ride on a couple of exploratory trips this off season. When the weather looks good and I dont have a charter I'll be out checkin some deep water natural bottom stuff I really need to test out. I recently recieved some detailed bathy images that REALLY deserve some looking at. Share expenses and fish(I keep my share of fish). Fish cleaning is my job if you guys help clean the boat!!! We will catch fish even if the new stuff dont pan out, we will hit a few honey holes on the way in.

Its just to nice of a forcast not to go. Leaving around 05:30 Tuesday 10/21 from the house.Coming back around 4:30pm Bottom day in the yellow gravel marathron jacket and who knows. hey guys i know yall are prob gonna think im crazy but its the time of the yeat that i start my tuna fishing! as you prob. know i have a 21 cape horn and i fish all the way to the beer can. i take 4 guys and the fuel and everythin usally rounds up to about 140 a piece. so if and one wants to go we will be setting up trips to go get um..and yes we do catch fish the biggest yet on my cape is 128 and lots in the 60 range

Looks like NOAA is saying it it will be nice the next couple of days and looking for a couple of people to go so I'm not out fishing by myself. Leaving out of Destin, actually launching our of Fort Walton Beach. Triip will be most likely not be expensive, trolling for kings, and pick up some snapper close in, and maybe grouper fish a little. Not planning on running far, unless you want to. This offer is good either thursday or friday. I'll be out fishing today, give me a call and leave me a voice mail if i dont answer.

No takers on my post for the trip this Wednesday so far.

I really want to get out this week, but dont really like going out alone and having the boat empty while I'm diving.

So if anyone is interested in bubble watching/fishing while I dive, this is a free trip to you. Just need to Bring your own food and ice.

If you are a fisherman and are willing to bring your own marker buoy (I lost mine at the Tenneco a few weeks ago), I will anchor away from the wrecks and drift back to your marker. Then you are free to fish while I dive, just remeber that we will be hitting several different spots. I dont have rod holders, so you'll have to figure out how to get all that worked out.

If you are a diver/spearer then just bring your gear and lets go kill some fish.

I plan on hitting the Tenneco and some other locations in that area. We will leave from Mac's Marina at 5:00 am.

had a last minute urge to head out fishing seeing that the weather doesnt look to bad. showing about 2 to 3 foot on reefcast. my regular fishing partners couldnt make it so figured i would see if anyone on here wanted to go for a ride. leaving around 6:30-7 in the morning and fish till late afternoon. maybe troll a little in the morning and bottom bump for a while. boat is a 31 cape horn and is located in orange beach. if anyone is interested shoot me a pm.

I have a tekota for bottom bumping, torium for jigging, tiagra 30a for whatever baitrunner... etc I can take whats needed. Friday were leaving out at 3 to be on the edge to start the chumline for BFT(black fin tuna) then bottom bump for AJ's and grouper, troll for some hoos, then head inshore for some snapper. I sold my Parker and got a smaller Hydra Sports 202 dual console. It is very seaworthy and my wife has already caught a front cover snapper on 'The Weekly Fisherman' [current addition] in the newer boat.

I am 68, active and love to fish, although I admit to slowing down a bit. I still play 4.0 tennis three times a week, so I am in reasonably good shape.

A lot of times, I will see a flat sea prediction and I will not be able to find a fishing partner. I would expect to share costs and cleaning the boat and the fish. I probably shouldn't make runs out by myself. I have Sea Tow, a very solid little boat which rides like a much larger boat, and all the Coast Guard stuff including two Category I life jackets and an E Perb [sp].

I would love to have someone who can go out on short notice [when NOAA or someone says the seas will be flat]. I have numbers but could always use some additional ones. I enjoy bottom fishing or trolling and have caught three cobia, three wahoo and a bunch of snappers this year. I am a semi-retired federal judge and missed June since I was out in California working.

I keep the boat on a slab behind my house in Gulf Shores and I fish out of Cotton Bayou usually. I have a boat and fish cleaning set up there.

Looking to go offshore

I have a 21 foot Center Console and I've been trying to go for the deep water stuff but I just don't have the range to get out to the deep rigs for Tuna and some of the other fish and I'm dying to catch my first Tuna and Billfish.

If anyone needs a hand next weekend, or anytime for that matter, please let me know. I have plenty of gear and tackle and I'm more than willing to pay my share. I know what it's like getting stiffed on gas money so you won't have to worry about that with me.. I would also be glad to take you in my boat if you just want a break one day from all the driving or want to do some fishing closer to shore.. I can make it out to the Nipple fine but the Elbow is about as far as I can safely go and that's pushing it. The times I've gone that far out there just wasn't enough fuel to pick up and run somewhere else if the bite was slow. I'm also free some weekdays if given enough notice..

Planning some trips in Oct out of Destin

All the time I hear, I'd love to go, but I have plans, if i had known sooner. Here is sooner. Here are some dates in Oct that I am planning on going out fishing. The Destin Fishing Rodeo will be going on during this time, so if you want to take your kids or the wife out, this is a great time to do it. Kids recieve a Rodeo certificate, a fishing pole, and their picture with Ms. Destin... They have a blast, and depending on their age, we may do a little shorter trip. I know my son doesn't like being out 8, 10, 12+ hours. Anyway, we usually do pretty well and frequently win many daily prizes. So here it is, plan a day off of work, or to keep your kid out of school, and lets do some fishing in October. Here are the dates. I can take 4 adults per day, kid trips depends on the adults and kids. All you need is your license and food and drink, I have everything else.

Oct 1 - Oct 12th and Oct 27-31 -- every day that the weather is nice enough to get out. Give me a call, email, of PM me and let me know when you want to go.

TRIP IS FULL!

Planning on heading out of Destin friday to look for some post hurricane grouper. I need to 3 or 4 to go. We will do a little trolling on the edge while between holes to see what is around, and stop off on the way in to check some state water holes for some snapper. Anyone interested shoot me a message.
