| I know there are better times than others to surf fish, but do most of you guys tend to fish early then pack up when the people start using the beach and swimming around and then come back and fish dusk time? I understand the tides affect things, but is more catching done early, late, night, or all of the above? Sorry for all the questions, but I am getting excited about getting to come down and fish a little while I watch the scenery on the beach during the day. Perdido Key June 21-28 if that matters....

I myself find I have better luck in the early morning right at daybreak. Yes, sometimes the wind, tide and water condition play a major part in the outcome, but for the overall success rate I believe its early! The Charter Boats are usually launching around that time also, but they aren't there for long, then there is still time to get in some fishing before all the crowd starts showing up. Plus, it'll give you a chance to locate a good wash and where you might want to be set up at. Hope this helps! JMO
