No luck at Dixie bar with Gulp, DOA, dead shrimp, or spoons except a few small whiting and a bunch of catfish. Reds were a no show.

Trolling off the beach at about 4mph with Clarkspoons behind a #1 planer was the ticket!  Lots of hardtail, a couple of big  ladyfish and one Spanish mack!

The gulf was like glass Monday around lunch so a quick run to one of the larger platforms about 3 miles out.  Casting spoons yielded more hardtails and a couple of nice bluefish as well.

Running back into port Monday afternoon in the gulf WOT and hitting 46mph in my Whaler was a blast too!  Boat was running great and seas were cooperative.

Going out today, but winds are making the gulf look quite a bit rougher than earlier in the week.

Vacation is fun. Fishing on vacation is more fun.
