| I've read that people are having good luck catching kings in the bay using live bait under balloons and free lining. Earlier this summer I was catching them in the gulf trolling a duster with a dead cigar minnows on a downrigger. Would this work in the bay also? I was also wondering about stretch 25s. All I got last year at this time was bull reds. Will kings hit those in the bay now? Thanks

if the kings are still in they'll hit them. the kings head south when the water temp dips below 70°F. we caught 2 last weekend a 18# and 30#. good luck.

Trolling dead baits doesn't work well in the bay ususally. Live Menhaden is the way to go

| Thanks! I'll give it a try this weekend if the wind dies down.

Caught several kings 10 days ago in the bay on stretch 30's. Had one that was screaming drag on 30# braid, but broke off.
