Anybody know if the Mangrove Snapper have moved in around the Fort Pickens/Fort McCrae area?  How about when they are supposed to start spawning?

seen alot of them under the dock out behind the oar house restrant. me and my wife watched them hide under it till you threw out a french fry and fired up the pin fish in which they came out to check all the excitment. they would try to snag a elwy when one would come close to them.

I've seen people catching them off of the rocks in the Bayou Grande cut, but it is a hard spot to fish. Your boat is in the way of everyone entering or exiting the bayou, and people tend to throw a big wake even though it is a no wake zone.

We used to dominate them there in kayaks until MPs floated up on us in their battle cruiser telling us its illegal to fish there. So we just went across and casted over to the rocks. Dont forget your circle hooks venting tool and de hooker
