Me, OffshoreRN, my Bro, our buddy Ryan from Gainsville and good friends Lyle and Andy from Panhandle Shooting Sports in Crestview headed down for some action. Didnt have to good of start to begin with, unloaded the boat, started to head out all electrical shut down 20 minutes later had it back up and the livewell shut down, heck with it we going fishing. Went to the bait boat and got a few cigs and headed 20 miles SE to some homemade wrecks, fish was all over em but just couldnt seem to get anything to bite caught 4 kings and a decent snapper and headed SW got to our snapper whole, got the anchor set fish showing from top to bottom let em down and nada fished there for a few hours caught 6 more kings and the cudas got 5 of em, got a couple more ARS and a couple lanes, triggers and almaco jacks. As we were about to pull anchor the fly line goes off and its not pulling that hard, friggin remora but look following him MR Cobia, he circles the boat leaves and comes back about 5 times would not hit anything, finally he comes about 30 ft from the boat and my bro pitches him a cig and he sucks it up the fight was on after about 10 minutes I got the gaff in him and in the boat he comes this was my bros first Cobe 35lbs.
