| We had hoped to fish for Wahoo and Dorado over the weekend, but the weather had other things in mind. We caught a break in the weather just before 1PM Sunday and headed out for a quick king trip. Live Bait was still working and we glaldy picked up live bait. We passed on the Bridge Rubble as Scuba Tech's dive boat was on the rubble and headed to SE Rock. Picked up one small king, noticed the dive boat had moved and with the wind and storms around wanted stay in close, so we moved back to the rubble. We picked up 4 more school kings and declared by 4PM we would head in. The long line went off about 3:40 and we all could tell it was a much better fish than just a schoolie. My uncle was on board and landed his largest personal king. He was as excited as a kid and insisted that my estimate of a 25 lbs king was way low. It was a real fat king, but short. So we headed in to Harborwalk to get an official weigh in. She hit the scales at 25.4 lbs. Not bad for a 2HR:45 Min trip. My uncle is like my dad to me and we have fished together my entire life, so it was a special treet to share his enthusiasm. Maybe next week we will have some offshore reports.
