I was 12.

I was staying with my cousin who lived in a farm in the country.  His dad (my uncle) had cleared some land to make pasture and my cousin and I were supposed to burn a stump pile each day, until they were all burned.  The very first day, I being from the city and thinking I was smarter than my country cousin, decided we should burn 1 stump pile each.  So we poured gas on one and started it for my cousin and I walked about 30-40 yards away and started another.  The stump piles were fairly big and dried from being pushed up months earlier.  Dog Fennel was everywhere in the pasture.  I got mine started and looked back at my cousins and he seemed to be having problems keeping his from spreading to the dog fennel, so I went over to help him.  After we got his back under control I in a few minutes, I turned to go back to my fire and it was WAY BIG.  After the whole ordeal was over, we had started a fire that burned over 4300 acres of land, two barns, 1 vacant house, and killed 75 head of hogs that were in a stable at one of the barns.

I remember how scared I was when I seen the first helicopter drop water.......

What have you caused?

Damn Curtis, I can't even come close to that. Mine would seem so miniscule (old 19th century term) I'd be ashamed to say.

I just read that to Susan, and all she could say "OH my GOD" and started

A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rapidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
