I have alittle spot up near the Yatch club producing some nice Trout. Early morning on high tide. The bite dies after that.

aanr (7/3/2008) FYI Bayou Checo has a warning of high bacteria counts. The fish swim around so much it probably doesn't matter, they probably come out of the bay when the tide comes in. A trout or black snapper in the mouth of the bayou is probably fine, they take the water test in the back up past the Navy blvd. bridge. I wouldn't eat any mullet out of the back of the bayou though.
