| left out wedesday morning seas supposed to be 1 foot or less, not, but it wasnt to bad. got to snapper hole 9:00am 13 miles sse of pass. had a little trouble getting the anchor to stick, but finally got it after 3 trys. by 10:30am had limit on endangered snapper only keeping fish 17" and above, camron caught three (17" and above) plus about the same number smaller. camron is the 17 year old son of life long famliy friend charlie. camron has fished a lot of inland salt and freshwater, but never out the pass. then we decided to catch some white snapper for aj bait after 10 minutes had 5 white snapper and about the same on rubyred lips. seas at this time had built into a solid 2 foot heavy chop out of the south east. we headed into the chop for the big "O" saw weather ahead so decided to just go to the russian frieghter and the tugs. drift fished over the freighter for awhile looked good on the machine but couldnt get a bite not even a undersize aj, so i had the great idea to set the anchor and increase our odds of a fish. well didnt catch that aj, but did catch a rather large freighter, so large in fact had to cut the anchor line. dont think we could have got in the boat anyway. decided to troll in and hooked up a bo-bo that was pretty fun. got to pass solid 4 foot chop with a fiver now in then for good measure. will attach pic of camron and fish later today when i get home.

Good for Cameron! Memories for a lifetime. Hopefully he will get to go again. I know the feeling on the anchor! I bought one at Academy for 49.99 and it holds my 26ft boat just fine, but I also have 20 feet of chain.
