went out this mrn and at the dock the engine started with a little vibration but as i cruz off it meload out as i got out to open waters i got down on the throttle and it took off good for about 30 yards and then it went down on me the throttle that is i let it idle for a minute and took off again did the same thing i put it in neatrul and raised the engine to see what happen nothing no stallor any thing but when i did take off again same thing as i came to a stall i notice the engine sounds like it was getting to much gas because it was sounding rough but as it idle it meload out again hit the gas and same thing all over can somebody give me and idea whats going on or if it is something that i can check thanks for any info

My merc 60 did this to me the other day. I found a small pin hole leak in the pee tube. It was spraying water on the electronics and the faster it idled the harder it would spray. I would run fine at idle, and even revving it up in neutral, but when putting it under a load it would die out. Hook up the water ears and idle up pretty fast and inspect for any leaks under the cover.
