Is it a bad idea to fish with live bait or cut bait out a yak in the gulf? I've been on the "Cajun Sleigh Ride" but I think a bull shark would be a little to much for my OK!  I'm new to yakin, I've got a 12 OK Scrambler and I want to try to get hooked into a king or two or something in the surf?  How should I do dis?  Also what are some good spots to try inshore around perdido for some tablefair? I'm used to fishin the ponds for redfish here in Cajun Paradise!  Merci!

I use live bait whenever possible.  Sharks get caught but if they are too big, just cut the leader/line and don't mess with them.

Johnsons beach is a good gulf area to fish.

Good luck.
