Help, I’m taking a friend offshore on Wednesday and Thursday to film an episode of his hunting and fishing show. I will get the usual Roff’s etc. even though everyone says they have been unreliable lately. I could use any real time info you may have. With only 200 gallons of fuel and with some cans strapped to the back of my center console I can only run 80-90 miles out of the Destin Pass. They want to catch a billfish, and with the water quality this year, I’m just hoping to get some good Wahoo or Dolphin. Any water reports less than a hundred miles out would be greatly appreciated. I'm afraid I'm going to be completely humiliated on this one. you have PLENTY of range to head to the spur and pull baits. hell try something different and deepdrop during the daytime for swords

We are loaded up on Large Squid. I hope the storm will give us a push of Blue Water. Right now my plan is to start trolling at the Spur go down the east side of the canyon and back, then drop some sword baits down in the late afternoon. They are concerned the light won't be good enough to film at night and trashed my all night sword plans. I like the Idea of deep dropping during the day. I heard someone caught a sword in 300' at 4:00 PM the other day. I could put a couple on the bottom, one about 600' and one at 300'. Do you think I need some of those fancy lights or will a light stick be ok? We've had a few blow up on us at night. Tuna at the rigs has been suggested, but we don't know what we are doing and have only caught a few on accident.
