| Hit the upper escambia this morning, 1st line in about 6:25am. Couple of blow ups on Top water but nothing caught until after 10am. Couple of rat reds, couple of croakers, 3 Specs plus this beauty.... 24.5", 4+lbs, released after pics. all fish were caught on Jerk baits with 1/8oz jigheads.
Basically other than a few minutes, it was a pretty dead day, but it was nice out and the hunidity was down.

KEEP AN OCCASSIONAL RED HERE AND THERE FOR DINNER, BUT FOR THE REST, PRACTICE HEALTHY CATCH & RELEASE TECHNIQUES SAVE SOME FOR THE FUTURE!

Nice speck! Very large one for the area. I used to live there and we rarely caught them that size, with the exception of one fish about 27" on a Rattle Trap at night. Largest speck I have ever seen caught. My buddy caught it on my boat. Mackey Cove pre Hurricane Ivan for that fish.

| Thats a nice fish you got there. I have been trying to get out into the bay. I have a bay boat but my buddy-(reality bites) invites me to go offshore so much I havent been able to even fish it this year. I havent fished the bay in so long I have forgotten where to go. Any pointers? Thanks Colt
