Best bike I ever had.  On a side note, even despite all of the stupid crap I did on that thing, I ended up without any major damage on it until I moved here.  I was actually REAR-ENDED at a stoplight, leading to the demise of it.  I've got an '07 ZX6-R, but nothing will ever compare to that beast I used to know and love.  It had a 636 CC engine that put 139 HP at the rear wheel and only weighed 349 pounds wet!  Sad, sad, day when that truck ran me over...

back in the day, working in a bmw dealership,,, BMW 850i, reached 159, was dissapointed, it had a wind noise, started around 150, probably could have went faster, just ran out of highway, had to slow down...

Yeah, I learned that the real challenge and joy from riding has nothing to do with top end speed:  IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BANK ANGLE!  Part of me really wants to go up to Deal's Gap.  The hardest part about riding around here is keeping the tires round and prevent them from squaring off!

i was seriosly considering a gsx-r 600... i trust myself, i don't trust anyone else though... helmets only help so much... and life is too short.

but damn they get good gas mileage!

I've been there before. Not on a bike though. That is one CURVY road! Be careful up there. A guy on a motorcycle tried to pass us going through there once and almost went head on with an RV.

That ticket cost me a lot.

Driver's license, the car for 6 months and a few bucks to boot.

The hood damage only cost the price of a rubber mallet and a little bit of explaining.

i still have your knife, by the way.

Yeah, I know.

Did 140+ on Sorrento one night in the RX-7 , between the curve at the cement mixing station and the new Walmart ... car had more left , just ran out of road ... great thing I have cross drilled rotors , Hawk pads , and S/S brake lines on the dual piston calipers so I could STOP

On the German autobahn, 203MPH, not kph, riding with a friend in his Masaratti(sp?), back in 76. It was on a strech that once held the land speed record, I think in the thirties.

Got a buddy who lives nearby and apparently about twice a day someone screams around a curve and rear-ends some slow-moving traffic.  Apparently the thing to do is to cruise it a few times to get the lay of the traffic ahead and then shoot through it.

Jenny and I catered an event at Dale Jarret's Driving School at Talladega. We got clocked at 179 mph at Dega...it was kinda incredible to say the least. The G's at the turns were not as bad as one would think...still your face pulling at every turn was something to behold!

When I lived on Panama City Beach 5 or 6 years ago there was a group of about 15 of us that all had LS1's (Camaro Z28's, SS, or Formula's & Trans Am's).  I had a 2000 Formula m6.  Main power mods were stage 2 heads & cam & a 2 stage wet N2O kit, had 3.73's in the rear end.  That car was stupid fast.  I hit 165 (as far as the pin would go) on I10 between Bonifay & Chipley once & was in the 130's & 140's quite frequently.  We made it from Defuniak Springs onramp to the Bonifay exit (28 miles) in 12 minutes one night also....we were retarded & lucky to be alive.

ohhh i have a few for ya. 201 mph in a rented Ferrari on the Munich Autobahn in Germany (i wasn't driving and my friend was too scared to go any faster). 182 mph on I-10 (at night) two years ago on my CBR 929 on the way to daytona for bike week. my buddy was riding the newest Yamaha R1 at the time and he pulled away from me. and last but not least, 157 mph on nine mile road coming from beulah in my buddies corvette. we blew by a cop right as we crested the hill by the 4H Club. my buddy never let up either. i really miss my bikes though. but, i rode for 13 years incident free too. i slowed down and started thinking differently when we started having kids.
