I like to get up early in the morning and do stuff, and normally find myself running behind when getting ready to leave, because I get caught up in doing things.  Recently I have been exercising in the morning and I have gotten to where I really enjoy it and look forward to it every morning, but that extra hour is hard to fit into my schedule.

I have always had short hair and I decided to shave it off last week, thinking it would be easier to get ready in the mornings and just be one less thing to have to fool with, plus I aint much to look at with or without hair.  Boy, was I wrong.......

Just like your face, you almost have to shave your head everyday, and it takes more time than fooling with hair.

A bald head is alot of maintainance.

My hair is off to you bald guys.

I shave my head twice a week in the shower.  It takes about 5 minutes and I use the same Gilette Mach III blades as I use for my face.  3-4 days between shaves never lets the stubble get over 1/8" long, so it shaves off easily each time.

Just keep it short like me.  A #1 on a clipper once a week keeps it easy to manage.

i shave my head every morning and it takes maybe 5 mins tops , of course i had only a "horseshoe" left lol so i dont have much to shave anyway..but its just like anything else you get good at it and figure out what is the best/fastest way to do it, the easiest way to do it is in the shower with a fogless mirror... I use the Headblade its a razor designed specifically for headshavers www.headblade.com....it is the best for headshaving...next in line is the gillette fusion...

i love having a shaved head, i dont have to worry about wind, rain, morning head or haircuts..and believe it or not alot of women dig it, of course some don't but who needs them anyway lol

here's a pic of the headblade...

Yep. Once you go shaven, you can never go back to hair. Amazing how dirty hair is.

Every morning.  Gillette Mach III.  Edge Gel.  I lather face and head after soaking all with a hot, wet towel.  I shave head and face in 5 minutes or less.

I tried the "Head Blade" and damn near cut an ear off.

To start with, I had a heck of a skeeter landing strip.  I spent $8 on a hair cut and $6 on gas to get to the shop and home.  I change blades less than once per week and a can of Edge lasts months.

On the down side, Sand gnats love the soft flesh below my hat band.

On the up side, lots of pretty women like to rub an old man's bald knob.

Life is too short to catch little fish.

Funny story, After my time was up in the Marines, I kept a horseshoe haircut which is real short, but it cost 10 bucs a week to keep up, welllllll my wife says I can do that let me see the clippers...well you know what happened...Sooooooooooooooo..I shave mine with a BIC pivot head, every day of every week of every month of every year. Will never let it grow out again...it is great.plus there is balding going on up there..Only downfall is getting sweat in your eye's.

Have you ever seen me with hair? #1 guard on the clippers every few weeks or so, I go over it myself and let the wife get any that I missed.

Big difference between a #1 blade and a razor, hair is still there...

There is no way I could shave my head in 5 minutes, without cutting my head slam off.  I don't  see how yall do it.

But, then again that is why I posted this, my hair is off to ya.  It would be my experience that bald guys work hard to be that way.

Ok...true story: I have thick, black hair. Why I ever thought I would look good w/ a shaved head I'll never be able to tell you. So I climb into the chair and one of those, "Hey, y'all, what this!" moments ensues. I had 'em shave it. All of it. And then razor it. Looked ridiculous but what's done is done and I decide to try it out. Well, again, I have thick hair so I gotta take a blade to it TWICE a day. One day I shave in the am and decide that night that I'll wait to shave again till the next morning. Well, lemme tell you...stubble is like industrial Velcro, and I gotta dome full of it. You know how when you finish drying your back ya kinda flip the towel overhead while holding one end in each hand? Well, I am standing NAKED in the shower performing this maneuver but as the towel comes up it catches my cabbage and I slung myself ass over head thru the shower curtain and into the floor, breaking my fall on the toilet seat with my forehead! I think it was my feet that struck the shower curtain rod that caused it to entangle me as plummeted to the ceramic tile floor. So, when I woke up, I was wet, naked, bleeding, wrapped in a shower curtain lying in the bathroom floor. Needless to say I grew out my hair and never mentioned the incident...So, yeah Garbo, I agree, a shaved head is way too much work and waaaaaay too dangerous!

A mirror?  For what?  You've shaved your head over 4000 times and still need a mirror to avoid missing a spot or cutting yourself?

hell yea, shave with right hand, follow up feel with left after every stroke, and then gotta look in the no-fog mirror to make sure i dont have a "patch" that i missed. you know how it is at night when you had a few cold ones and dont feel like shaving the head untill morning and then wake up and realize i gotta shave in a hurry. i need that mirror!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mirror, or no, I am no good at it.  I would nearly hack my head off, with a mirror, if I tried to do it in less than 5 minutes.

Got tired of hair on sides and back (none on front). Decided to do it today, cut with trimmer at the closest setting, wished I'd done it long ago. This thread got me to thinking and finally I did it.
