Tell me about boiling peanuts, I love to eat them. I have heard do not buy raw peanuts to boil, buy green. What is the differance?

Fresh raw = Green.  About 3 cups salt per 10 pounds.  Boil them till they are done to your taste.  May have to soak them for a while or add a pile of ice to make them soak up salt.  Careful doing that.  Gotta keep sampling till they get the right amount of salt.  It can get too salty real easy this way...

The Jay peanut fest is usually the 1st week of Oct. I believe. They should be flowing pretty good before then.

Cause if he is willing to drive to Cantonment to sell them I am willing to purchase them and save my gas and time.

Wade,

Looking to buy a 40 lb bag.  What should I expect to pay per lb?  They want $2.50/lb at the local produce store in Niceville.
