We are supposed to fish with Rimmer Covington out of Venice on Wednesday ... are there any reports on how the seas will be over there after Fay , and how bad the water will be with all the rain water flowing out of the Mississippi river ... just don't want to drive all the way down there to have the trip canceled , due to high seas or bad conditions ... I'd rather reschedule for a better date ... thanks in advance

I would suggest talking to RImmer

Carpe Thunnus

I support commercial snapper fishing.

I work on the double platform about a mile north of the lumps and it is blowing 15 mph out of the west north west and the water is brown. If you are not familer with the midnight lumps they are about 17 miles off the tip of south west pass. Seems to me like it would be fishable tomorrow but I am not sure what size boat you will be on.

I AGREE WITH FREESPOOL JUST CALL RIMMER. WE FISHED WITH RIMMER A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND HE WILL SURELY PUT YOU ON THE FISH. BACK THEN, HE HAD A 39' SEA VEE WITH TRIPLE 250'S WE WENT OUT TO RIGS OVER 100+ MILES OUT SO, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO QUICKLY GET IN SOME GOOD WATER. GOOD LUCK.

It has gotten alot rougher since the last time I posted. You might want to call your Capt and see what he says about tomorrrow. Its a good six foot out the west and it could be bigger than that but I am way up here so it doesnt look as bad as it usaully is.
