I hope to make it sat a.m and stay until sunday around lunch time.....gonna try to make a run south sat morning....I might try and make a run to go spearfishing that day as long as the weather is nice. Matt are you bringing a cooker or do you want me to bring one. I'll be bringing what fish I have left in the freezer to cook up. And then if I get out, we'll cook up what I have then too. I'll be taking down a small dead oak between now and then and will have some firewood that I will bring. Gustav actually took the top of this dead oak down for me.

TP if you make a run i may want to buddy boat out and stay within vhf range as this will be my 2nd trip after having the injectors replaced on the motor....ill probally have my gear but wont be spearing.......

I just found out that I will be solo for the camp out without my wife. She has other plans. So that means that I will be going out to spearfish if the weather allows. You are more than welcome to buddy boat/come along. Give me a shout on my cell sometime next week when we know what the seas will look like. 850-529-9349

| I have the plans to attend - as my wife has said we are going. But I just heard from Bahia Mar Marina. I was hauled out for Gustav with 41 others. I am now on the hill. They do not plan on splashing any until they know where the next one (Ike) is going. It is 10 days out, bummer. They do not want to splash 41 and then start haul out all over again.

Tom I really want to see the boat. I have tried to talk the wife into a floating retirement home to no avail but maybe if she really looks at one  You can come see it anytime at the marina, just let me know. And it will be there on the camp out, God willing. This vessel is a 37 foot, which is small for a live aboard, and hard to find one that small to buy. It works great as a rental, with that size and the twin Vee drives I can teach anyone to operate in one hour, it is easy, even someone with no expierance. Gibson's smallest now built starts at 44' and goes to 55'. These size boats are better for live aboards, much more room. There is a housboat forum at www.houseboatmagazine.com that I am a member on, and many on there are live aboards. Great place to find infomation, just as this one is.

If for what ever reason Ike messes up our plans next weekend. Just plan on the next weekend of the 20th. Or let's just have a hurricane party in tents on on the boats.

forcefield engaged Forcefield seems to have worked. The rain chance for Saturday and Sunday has went back to the normal 30% chance of afternoon thunderstorms and we are looking good to go.
