here goes the report.. be ready its long

9/6..

Launch at 0630 at west pass(gulf shores) Start paddling out and see BIG spanish busting bait everywhere! I decide to troll a couple of cigs and start slinging a gotcha.. every cast with the gotcha is producing some stud spanish(26inch +) so i get a few in the boat and decide to head on out a lil farther.. My big rod starts screamin.. fish on! puts up a hell of a fight and takes me over 45 mins to get it close.. then i catch sight of it and i bout pissed myself... LING!LING! i start gettin a lil nervouse and finally get it boat side and my other reel starts screamin.. i could care less at this point as i see just how big this COBIA is.. go to gaff it and it spits the hook ... This fish could of easily gone 60 lbs!! Exasperated i realise my other rod is close to getting spooled.. So i chase the fish down and get about a 12 lb king in the boat.. action was hot all day.. Also hooked 3 tarpon!!

Amazing sightings today...1 Sailfish... a small one but still.. hooked 2 small blackfin tuna!! none boated also hooked 2 small dolphin.. again neither boated.. but heres the pics from day 1

Total today

cobia-33.5", 30" and 35 " all released

Kings- smaller today but one 14 lb and one 15 lb

Spanish- Kept 10 smallest was 20 inches largest 28

Many other species hooked today

Beautiful morning!

small cobe in boat.. right at 33 in

2 kings 2 spanish

DAY 2

Launched 0630 bait every where..

paddled hard about 2 miles off shore... big kings skying everywhere.. throw out one rod to troll.. before it's even in the rod holder my drag is screamin.. got about a 25 lb king boatside and let him go.. i had a feelin today would be a good day..

get both rods in water to troll.. one rigged with a dusted and other just wire..

see a school of fish busting.. throw the gotcha and before i close the bail BAM king on.. while i'm fighting it one of the trolling rods goes off.. and it is really screamin.. so the small king stays on the rod while i jack the biggin up.. i end up losing the small one but i could really care less.. finally after gettin drug around a while i get the beast in.. 32 lber.. pretty good mornin so far.. get the gaff in and he's boated...

i got my 60 lb 7 strand bit through 7 times today all were good fish..

had a king boatside that could of gone 50.. NO LIE

landed 8 over 25 lbs

2 small cobes 1 24" other 34"

landed a small black fin tuna.. NO LIE.. released.. landed a small shark... saw 3 sailfish today...

water was beautiful... hopefully this storm wont mess everything up to bad..
