Sunday morning met at Sherman Cove (Ed, Marty, Terry, and me) at 0500; boat ready to go at 0530:

Captain Ed shows up and we're ready to go:

Off to the edge at sunrise:

Mr. Coast Guard guarding the pass (thought we saw trolling lines!):

Continued on smooth seas:

Few rain clouds around:

Current was running fast so added a "few" pounds to the marker:

Started catching a mixed bag:

Had some beautiful Red Snapper, but they all went back for another day (except one):

Everyone caught a shark and all (but me!) fought AJs (no keepers, 1", 1/2" short ):

Ran into various schools of fish thrashing the water.  Marty tried a spoon but was cut off and on the way we went:

Boat and fish cleaned, a special Sunday toast from Marty's Medicine Bag , and home we went.  LUV IT!

Great report with some really neat pics. I especially liked the pics of the surface commotion. That is really something to see. I think they are mostly small bonito but there are alway spanish around them just waiting to cut you off. There were tons of baby bonito at the paradise hole. Once again thanks for the report.

Great job on the pictures John.  Hard to believe the water was so smooth 30 miles out.  Still think you should have caught one of the AJ's.  They wore Marty, Terry, and me completely out.  Maybe you were the smart one!!   Great trip, lots of fun and our traditional shot of "you know what" after cleaning the boat and fish was totally refreshing.     Ed

Forgot to mention that Captain Ed caught a big King off the bottom with a pin fish!  Of course I screwed up the camera and had it on video so no pics.  Guess that's my last invite!  Please forgive me Eddie .
