| im going to bob sikes bridge on saturday. the last few times ive went ive caught nothing but pinfish and grunts. the baits they bit were big as they were usually. I want the big boys! any advice on baits and lures would be appreciated. Im still a novice with lures so any presentation advice would be nice.

| It's been years since I fished off bob sikes..... A live bull minnow around the pile caps used to do reallly well for flounder.....

My go to rig for fishing bob sykes is a carolina rig (fish finder). I prefer to use a mono leader unless I'm fishing for sharks or kings. Use those grunts for bait! Put one out alive with a large enough hook......(6/0 should work) or use chunk baits........say 2 inches wide. Reds should take you for a ride.

Personally....A fish finder rig for me.... Weight would really depend on the current. Probably a 2'-3' leader of 20# Fluoacarbon. Medium sized circle hook. Or between a 3/0 or 5/0 "J" hook.
