Anchoring for cobia fishing is like washing your feet with socks on, it doesn't make any damn sense!!!

850Lover,

This question has 100 answers. It really depends on what your fishing for, what type of live bait you are using, and what you want your bait to do.

A bait hooked in the back third of it's body will fight hard to get away (swimming away from you), a bait hooked in the top of the body will fight hard to swim to the bottom,(I like this one when fishing with a balloon). I also find that fish hooked from bottom of mouth up through the nostrils tend to stay alive longer.

Sorry this answer is so vague. Just a hard question to give a specific answer to.
