I have 2 Tidewater 5'6" 50-130 lb rods (TW 56 SU) with striper and tip roller, with Mitchell Riptide 6/0 reels on them. (1 dark blue the other light blue)  I would say that the reels are a little smaller than the Penn 6/0 I have but larger that a 4/0. One is spooled with 100lb Ande's mono the other is bare. I have only taken these rods on 2 trips and the are both in good shape. Mostly they have been in the rod rack in my garage. I have caught a 70lb Yellow Fin on one...so I know they work .
