| got a 4 pin connect so no reverse light. I've got a quick t connect to hook up the wire to disengage the trailer brakes in reverse but I don't know which wire to use off the bundle going to one taillight on my 1989 f150. before I start stripping insulation and testing which one it is, I was wondering if anyone knew right off which wire is the reverse light wire.

Now change the 4 pin connector on the trailer to a 7pin round.
Your truck does have a 7pin female from the factory. Correct?
This eliminates all the adapter junk.
