| I read this story recently. The passengers on the plane remain until the casket was removed. The lady on the air mattress was the fallen soldiers' wife. She said that she wanted to sleep next to him one last time. The Marine on guard remained with her and the body thru the night watching over them one last time. I wish our "liberal" media would show this kind of stuff sometime.

This is about the lady on the mattress pic....
"One Last Time"
"The night before the burial of her husband's body, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of 'Cat,' and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. 'I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it,' she said. 'I think that's what he would have wanted."

GREAT POST, I acted as an escort once for a fellow fallen Corpsman, the airlines were great to us, i was the first off each stop to accompany my fallen warrior to the next plane. the captain of the planes would announce it to the passengers each time prior, so they could underrstand the uniform member on the flight and his unfortunate journey, with multiple combat tours under my belt, to this day my hardest time was our final stop in boston, mass where we were escorted by boston pd to the funeral home and facing the destroyed family the next day.
