Yea, I didn't think we would ever see regular below $2 and now Premium is $1.91 in Navarre. Let's hope it holds until next season so people can afford to use their boats and the Marine business will pick up.

Yeah, it's great.

To bad the the entire world economy had to take a nose dive to make it happen.

Its 1.81 at wal-mart over in gulf shores. I'll take a picture if I see a sign reading below 1.50. If it stays where it is, some of us might get to go fishing more next year.

I'm in Kansas City.  It was $1.49 yesterday on the MO side, about a dime more on  the KS side due to tax difference.

At the first sign of it going back up I'm going to top off the boat, my gas caddy, and all 6 of my 5 gallon cans.  I just wish I knew when it was going to bottom out.

i had no problem paying $2.50 a gallon, but am not complaining about the $1.80ish prices we have here in auburn. i just wish they would hang around for awhile. my question is this though, is everyone gonna start buying trucks and suv's again since gas is down? wasnt this a big part of the problem to begin with? i have a truck and a car, and have gotten to where i dont drive the truck at ALL now. unless i need to tow the boat or 4wheelers.

The high prices weren't just because of a high American demand. Although demand is continuing to drop in the U.S., it is a world wide drop in demand that has caused the plummeting gas prices.

I have a feeling that at least a few places in the country will see gas under a buck before the prices settle.

I fear our legislators will see this as an opportunity to tax the heck out of gas to reduce consumption and raise revenue.

Here in Corpus Christi, it is down around $1.65 in most of the city. There are a few stations below that. Last week when I was down in the valley (near the Mex. border) I saw unleaded as low as $1.47. I'm sure it's down around $1.30-1.35 now.

Since I drive a Honda, there's not too much difference between $.05/mile and $.11/mile. On the occasion that I do drive my 4x4, it's usually a shorter trip so fuel doesn't kill me. However, I am hopeful that the fuel prices will drive business up for the recreational fishing industry.

I filled my cans for my generator/hurricane season at $3.86.  All 60 gallons of it.  Now I don't want to use it, but I need to.

$1.39 in KCMO?  Tell me where, I need to gas the car tomorrow!  I'd like to buy a fuel tanker and save it for six months.  What do you think one of those things will hold, 3000 Gallons?

how has the worldwide demand lowered? hybrid vehicles? wont all these low prices cause people to do a whole bunch of previously deemed "unnecessary" driving again?

World wide demand is decreasing because we are entering a world wide recession. The same reason Solutia just laid off 540 workers, because demand for nylon products is way down in the U.S and other markets. It all relates to a world wide economic down turn. It has nothing to do with hybrid vehicles.

The demand isn't just for gasoline, it is for crude oil. So when the demand for petro chemicals goes down so does crude oil and gasoline.

I did the same thing at $3.45 when they were rolling around the Gulf, but, yes do use, it up, as it is money spent.
