Thanks Garbo , you show a lot of class.
I was actually raised a Bama fan, Bear Bryant, Golden Flake, Coke, and their years of dominance and greatness. But their past is like George Washington,.......it's history.
Golden Flakes  +2 for that. Don't forget about building your deck with yellawood on another note, UF fans have been a bit to much over teebow, but all in all, they seemed to have settled down since Spurrier left. Is that just me or has anyone else noticed that to? I was at Auburn during the losey Bowden years, the worse traveling fans I saw there was UCF and UF. But since then I hadn't seen UF be so obnoixous. Maybe Zook taught them some humilatity. Meyers has certainly given them reason to be proud again.

Nope, I still wonder about your choice of friends and how someone could rub you that wrong. It is a game and as you so eloquintly put the lipstick on the pig, it's still a pig. It's a week statement with makeup all over it. Even the dull and ignorant have a story, sometimes you just got to change the way "you" look at it. There are fans spouting off on both sides and indifferent. At the end of the day it doesn't matter and it's too bad you're having to avoid people. This got a little deep. Roll Damn Tide! Have fun.I tend to avoid certain conversations more than people. If that was deep, you, for certain want to avoid the same conversations with my buddy's as I do. I am glad that we agree.

| Oh the irony...a thread started to point out how "classless" Alabama fans are and look at all the classless comments made by other teams' fans. It's ok...as an Alabama fan, I love it. It's been a long time since we've been the target of everyone's hatred, and now that we are the target again it tells me one thing: WE'RE BACK and other teams and their fans are scared. It's funny, I'm sure your friend's smack talk is only obnoxious to you this year b/c we are actually good. I also love how other fans rag Alabama fans about living in the past with Bear and in the same paragraph they will make a comment about the past 6 years!! Bwahahahaha!! Talk about living in the past. I'm just glad we have some tradition that we can stir up when we need a little something to pick us up. And I won't make any predictions b/c I don't like sticking my foot in my mouth. I'm just gonna cheer for my team and hope for the best. ROLL TIDE!

I also have an Alabama fan that is wearing me out. I finally told him I hope Florida hangs half a hundred on them just to shut him up. Like I said before I don't mind a little ribbing but give it a rest. Let the game speak for itself and then rib opponents for a while, just be civil.

| Garbo, Honestly, I don't hate anyone over a football game, and any digs I may take are in good fun. No school has a monopoly on obnoxious fans, or is immune from them. Clearly Alabama has no chance in this game, but they invited us anyway, and it would be rude not to show up. We hope to make it entertaining.

| I guess I can answer Garbo and Seminole Wind at the same time. 99% of the time I don't read Garbo's posts, but I do have an interest in others opinions as to this game. I grew up in Tuscaloosa and have been a Bama fan all of my life. I got to enjoy the Bryant years, and have mostly struggled through the rest (with the exception of when Stallings was coach). Even though I don't read the overwhelming majority of what Garbo has to post, I still see the number of topics he starts. I read the heading, realize that I have little or no interest in reading the body of the post and move on. I don't like everything that I read, I don't however, refer to those that I disagree with as "douchebags". At least I don't post it. As far as irritating fans go, I have been all through the Southeastern conference. I agree that Alabama has some fans who are downright aggravating to deal with, I can also promise you that Bama does not have a monopoly on asshole fans. There are just as many aggravating Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas, Auburn and LSU fans as there are aggravating Bama fans. Personally, I couldn't care less who anyone else decides to root for, but when I see someone, who I consider to be irritating posting about having a problem with another group of people that they consider to be irritating, at least this time, I decided to chime in. By the way, I am an asshole, I can certainly be irritating and aggravating, and have been called a douchebag (and worse!) many times before. At least I recognize it in myself.

being a bama fan i can truthfully say i have heard more talk from gator fans than bama fans but i do have friends that once you get them going they are obnoxious.
Also being a bama fan im tired of hearing about how bear did this and bear did that. sure bear was an amazing coach but thats the past. so is losing to auburn for six years. but none of that matters to me right now. and since no one is going to value my opinion how about Nick Saban's:
“What happened yesterday is history. What happens tomorrow is a mystery. What we do today makes a difference - the precious present moment.”
and also as much as i would like to see bama win the SEC and then the National title i think its going to come do to another one of Saban's quotes:
“As bad as you think you want to win it. I promise you the guys that go out there and work every day ... they want to win it more than that. And I'm going to feel a hell of a lot worse for them than you if they don't.”
Roll Tide! i predict this is going to be close game even though bama's already been written off its not going to be a blow out like everybody says it is. Also if bama does lose the SEC i hope the gators win national keep it in the SEC

I am, and always been an FSU fan and supporter, and will never change. We lost to a great team Saturday, and a better team than we were on that day. To all that Play, Pull, Coach and Support the Florida Gators, I wish you all the best in your pursuit of the SEC Championship. I have heard enough from some Alabama Fans to make me look forward to seeing Florida Win the SEC championship. I became a Gator fan some 20 years ago, and have been a repeated season ticket holder. My son almost went to UF on a full football ride in 2003 but ended up instead signing with Florida Atlantic University.
Perhaps, before you start shooting your mouth off again Mr. "Hood" , I suggest you first get your facts straight !
Where would I go to obtain said "facts" there Pat?? Wikipedia perhaps?? If you dont mind, could you point me in the direction of said "facts" so that I can resume "shooting my mouth off"(that phrase makes no sense but whatever)??
